August is National Make-A-Will Month! Over half o August is National Make-A-Will Month! Over half of Americans don’t have a will. But estate planning isn’t just for the wealthy, it’s for anyone looking to protect the people they love. Join us for a FREE Legacy Planning Clinic at the Bladensburg Library. Led by Community Attorney Stanford Fraser and supported by Community Legal Services, this session covers the basics of wills and estate planning. You will begin drafting your Last Will & Testament and get to ask questions of experienced professionals. Because planning for the future can bring up difficult emotions, Synergy Family Services will also be on-site providing mental health resources and support. ⚠️ New Eviction Law Alert Beginning NOW, landlord ⚠️ New Eviction Law Alert Beginning NOW, landlords are Required to provide 14 days' Advance Notice of an Eviction Date. If an eviction takes place, tenants and any pets will be removed from the property, but personal belongings will remain inside the unit. The locks will be changed, and tenants will not be able to return to retrieve any belongings, including medications, valuables, sentimental items, or children's belongings.
