We are proud to share EMPOWERED, a collaboration from the Maryland Access to Justice Commission and the Maryland Legal Services Corporation, with support from Maryland Legal Aid, highlighting the life-changing impact of civil legal aid.  Without counsel, civil legal cases such as evictions, custody disputes, or denial of benefits are often unsuccessful. Civil legal aid flips the outcome, giving Marylanders the support they need to protect their rights and move forward with stability and dignity.

We are #CLSProud to announce that Ivy Finkenstadt We are #CLSProud  to announce that Ivy Finkenstadt, Esq., Managing Attorney at Community Legal Services, has been appointed to the Maryland Workgroup on Artificial Intelligence Implementation. 
This newly established state workgroup is tasked with monitoring AI issues and making recommendations on how artificial intelligence is regulated and deployed, especially in areas that affect consumer rights, employment, privacy, government benefits, and overall fairness for Marylanders. Ivy’s participation ensures that community-centered legal perspectives are part of shaping thoughtful, responsible AI policy for the state.
Community Legal Services, in partnership with the Community Legal Services, in partnership with the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association , will present an online Standby Guardianship Training on January 27 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. 
The webinar will cover when standby guardianship is appropriate, how to prepare the required forms and pleadings, best practices for representing guardians in court, and how to counsel clients through the process with confidence and clarity.
