Greenbelt, MD – Community Legal Services of Prince George’s County (CLS) is proud to be a recipient of funding from the Meyer Foundation, whose mission is to build a more equitable Greater Washington region where economically disadvantaged people can thrive. CLS advances this mission by supporting, educating, and advocating for individuals, families, and communities by providing free, high-quality legal services that protect fundamental rights, ensure equal access to justice, and uplift those we serve.

The grant award to CLS is a significant investment in expanding advocacy for residents of Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties. The funding will bolster CLS’s ongoing efforts to amplify our advocacy work in critical areas such as tenant rights, family protection, domestic violence prevention, and community education.

“We are deeply honored to receive this support from the Meyer Foundation, a respected leader in advancing equity and justice across the region,” said Jessica Quincosa, Executive Director of CLS. “This investment will directly strengthen our capacity to serve more residents in need and help address the systemic barriers to justice that disproportionately affect Black and brown communities.”

The Meyer Foundation’s support comes at a critical time when the demand for community building continues to rise, particularly among tenants facing eviction and families navigating complex challenges.
