- Family Law Clinic for the Self-Represented
We operate a walk-in clinic in the Courthouse in Upper Marlboro for persons representing themselves in family law, domestic violence, guardianship of disabled adults, small claims, and tenant matters. CLS provides free legal advice only! CLS lawyers may not represent you! Staff members speak English and Spanish, and the Courthouse is wheelchair accessible.
- The clinic operates on a first-come-first-served basis
- Sign-in begins at 9:00 am, Monday – Thursday
- Morning Session: first nine (9) people
- Afternoon Session: second nine (9) people
- Friday: 9:00 – 12:00 noon Only!

CLS provides brief legal advice and information for Spanish speaking clients. We also provide translation of court documents. Income eligible clients, including domestic violence victims, may be referred to a lawyer through this program.

- Worker’s Rights Law Clinic
CLS provides brief legal advice in employment law matters and assistance in collecting unpaid wages. Cases involving employment discrimination will be referred to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission at 1-800-699-4000, or the Human Relations Commission at 301-883-6170.
- The clinic operates on a first-come-first-served basis!
Note: If you are part of a group, you must still sign-in INDIVIDUALLY for one of the available slots per day. If you are not signed in, you will not be seen.
